Personal Statement

I believe the importance for landscape design has increased due to the issues we face today with climate change.  Solving these issues is something that I am passionate about and I am keen to contribute to the problems we face to improve our outlook on the environment. The best way I feel I can help towards these changes is through decent planning.

The method to how I work is practical and forward thinking. This is shown through my work in the analysis and inventory stages of design. I enjoy the problem solving approach to design rather than designing itself. I took an interest in the different approach the subject has to the future of landscape design. I like the issues planning has to offer and the organizational skills required in planning green spaces and landscapes.

With a degree in Landscape and Garden design, furthering my career in planning will be beneficial in how I will be able to understand and communicate well with designers in practice, as it is the field I have studied in. As I have only touched partially on the issues of planning I am eager to learn and gain more experience on the subject.
